It all started back in 2018 when I was in college, unsure of what I was good at. I had no special skills, no mentor, and no one around who truly believed I could do something meaningful.

One ordinary day, a friend told me about a course that focused on English and personality development. I joined without any clear goal. The day I walked in, everything changed. I saw my mentor – Miss Meenu Sagar, speaking English so fluently without using a single word of Hindi. It was the first time I had seen someone communicating like that. In that moment, something shifted, and I asked myself, “Is this really possible?”. The answer came in the form of a promise:

“I want to be like her, and If I am not good at anything, I will master this language no matter what.“

With this vow, I deleted all the social media accounts, disconnected from distractions, and turned a tiny loft into my study space. With no proper setup, I studied for 16 to 18 hours every day, and within one year, I became fluent.

That discipline sparked further learning. I began asking deeper questions, which eventually led me pursue a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology.

By June 2019, the English course ended, and it was time for implementation, but life had other plans.

Despite clearing over 25 interviews, job offers slipped away due to location constraints. Eventually, I joined Zomato’s chat support, where I sharpened my English communication through real-world use. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I lost my job, but used the time to advance my skills even further.

When things settled down, I looked for work again, and guess what? I ended up getting a job at the same institute where I once learned. Fun, right? It was fun and challenging because by then, I had become an introvert. The job required me to be outgoing, but I took the challenge, cleared the interview and induction, and got posted to the nearest branch.

I worked there for almost two years and left in 2022 in search of a new purpose. By then, my Master’s course was about to be completed. Still hungry to learn, I started freelancing and enrolled in a short certificate course in Career Counseling and Guidance.

Of course, life had another surprise, I realized there was a gap between what I was learning and what I needed to know. So, I joined the same company I was training under, again, but this time as an employee, to learn and earn, and deepen my understanding of counseling while staying in touch with English.

Balancing freelancing, learning, and growing, I entered 2023 with a new belief:
I am capable of doing something BIGGER.

That’s when the dream of Profound Careers began from a small room, no office, no team. Just a laptop, my skills, and my will to do something meaningful. I saved 4–5 months’ salary. I bought a domain and finalized my company name.

In December 2023, I officially left my job and incorporated Profound Careers. Over the next year, I focused entirely on setting up my company, all online because I wanted to build a platform that would help people across countries learn languages, develop skills, and receive the right career guidance.

In April 2024, I started taking sessions under Profound Careers, but no one knew about it as I was still building the face of the company; the website. Now, you must be wondering why I was building it myself. Well, after being deceived twice by web designers I had paid, I decided the only way forward was to learn and do it on my own.

With patience and persistence, I launched my website on 29th September 2024. In just one year, the platform has:

• Conducted 500+ live sessions
• Reached learners across six countries
• Been featured on 9+ podcasts as a guest speaker
• And most importantly, helped countless students overcome self-doubt

My aim is to build a ₹1 CR-a-year company — not just for the revenue, but with a vision to reach those still waiting to believe in themselves with our Profound Approach and soon, expanding into global languages like French, Japanese, and beyond.

This story isn’t just about learning English; it’s about:

• From being full of self-doubt to believing in oneself
• From being a less intellectual person to becoming creative
• From being unsure of any talent to becoming a public speaker
• From being mocked to becoming a mentor
• From having no setup to building a business from scratch

This story is not about perfection, it’s about possibility. It’s about choosing to rise, even when you feel like you’re starting from zero.

And most importantly, it’s a story that says:

“If I can do it, so can you — with just a bit of support and the right guidance.”
